Dances on Ice

On Monday evening I rolled into the station from a weekend away and realised I had 28 minutes to run (well, walk very quickly) from St Pancras to the Tower of London, for the Christmas catwalk special. Which was on ice. The models were going to be coming out in Love Label clothes, skating on ice, (aka the perfect combination of fashion and Christmas ballet/skating/dance.)

The Tower of London looks majestic at the moment, with huge spotlights and coloured Christmas lights highlighting the building; the ice rink is directly underneath the Tower. So. I arrived at the ice rink with my big bulky weekend bag still in tow and got in line behind the London crowds including the stars of Made in Chelsea, Joey Essex, Lauren Pope and some tall models on the arm of handsome men – gangs all here!

The show then began with dancers coming out in showtastic sequins, bright body-con, leather mini-skirts and sheer maxis with thigh high splits. If you are looking for a one piece party dress for the not-so-up-and-coming-but-very-much-here festive season, Very is where you will find brilliant brights and shimmering sequin party dresses; and without feeling the guilt of spending too much at this time of year.
