Back in May (which feels months and months ago) ELLE Magazine asked if I would like to be shot for their August streetstyle shoot.
As a fan of the magazine, its covers, trend reports, journalists and shoots it was a no brainer.
The streetstyle pages are always a favourite because they are a melting pot of trends, eras, shapes and styles, each outfit being a reflection of that person, their style, body and confidence. I went into their offices, just off Carnaby Street in Soho, and was able to choose from rails and tables of new season wares: jackets, dungarees, velvet trenches, sunglasses, embellished clutches, Mary Janes’s…
The final look started with the boots, Camilla Elphick’s amazing patent zip up boots. From there, I wanted a cropped trouser so they would really sing, then it was a case of playing with texture and proportion, styling a cropped Maison Kitsue wool jacket with the high waisted Warehouse trousers for effect. I love to pic ‘n’ mix textures, finishes and fabrics so this really was a dream look for me.
Thank you ELLE!
