I hadn’t really shopped in River Island before this time last year when I popped into River Island’s Style Studio to meet their VIP manager, the lovely Giles, ahead of December’s Clothes Show. I went in to choose a few pieces to wear on stage, my go-to for this being standout, statement and often sparkly designs because I know that is what works best on stage and it was Christmas time. If you haven’t been to River Island’s Style Studio it’s worth a visit; it’s such an experience and a great date with a group of friends or your Mum. The fantastic styling team (headed up by Nadia) really look after you whether you need a different size, a second opinion, want to try something new or fancy a glass of prosecco (really!) I went with my Mum and she absolutely loved it, getting ideas for herself and enjoying the VIP treatment but what people don’t know is that it is a free service – free!
I digress, the reason I am writing this post is because after sharing this photo from last year’s Clothes Show, so many of you asked where I got the floral metallic blazer from; unfortunately it is River Island from last year but it’s not all bad news. On wanting to help you find something similar I didn’t have to go very far because they have a stunning floral embellished coat in their Limited Edition collection and it ticks similar boxes: brocade, floral and metallic.
