How to Style White Jeans for Spring

Nothing says spring like a pure white pair of jeans, especially spring 2018. In the past they have got a bad rep and been associated with women including J-Lo circa 2001’s Love Don’t Cost a Thing, polymath presenter Clare Blading and Liz Hurley: too r ‘n’ b, too Sloane and St Tropez. I love fresh white denim because it instantly updates an outfit; simply swap blue/ grey/ black jeans for white and suddenly you’re spring. Yes, they’re high-risk if you’re clumsy, (guilty!) walking, eating, sipping and sitting but don’t let that put you off, you won’t come across anything I haven’t rectified with the help of Vanish! Whilst the weather was so glorious earlier this week I thought I’d seize the day and trial out some fresh and new looks with my favourite white jeans; the sunshine didn’t stay but I hope you love the looks!

Boucle Jacket, Silk Camisole, White Jeans, White Mules

The Chanel style of a boucle jacket is what makes it such a smart, chic and timeless staple that will make every outfit look elegant and polished. Worn with a lace-trimmed silk camisole, the textures work really nicely together and this cami has such a flattering neckline and works under every jacket.

Denim Jacket, Gingham T Shirt, White Jeans, Superga Flatforms

 – but wearable; less rodeo rider and more inspired by the colours and prints of the western trend. I really love the cowboy trend, didn’t everyone after seeing Cindy Crawford’s daughter Kaia Gerber swagger for Calvin Klein S/S ’18 in a silky shirt,  low-slung trousers and cowboy boots? The colour of this sandy denim jacket from & Other Stories reminds me of American workwear; it’s boxy and looks great with both blue and white denim and the gingham plays on that all-American idea and makes the look it a little more feminine.

Faux Leather Wrap Coat, White T, White Jeans, Slip-On Patent Mules

I don’t think there is a fresher colour combination than white on green, especially this sort of green – grassy, clean and fresh. This wrap/ trench style caught my eye in Topshop, obviously, it’s joyously bright and whenever I wear it strangers ask me where it’s from, it shouts that loud!  Like in winter, a statement spring coat is a great choice because it can make an outfit so think statement: bright colour, interesting texture, prints, details.
