Since buying these dungarees last autumn I’ve worn them with everything from white shirts to polo necks, underneath blazers and bombers and with courts, heels and boots. With both gingham and brass buttons, this look is a mix of Oklahoma farm girl and naval uniform. I love the current trend for bright red boots and all red footwear in general (I have a fierce pair of Terry de Havilland platforms that add instant hot colour to every look.) Gingham was a massive story last summer and will continue into summer 2017; it’s such an easy print to wear simply with jeans and a tailored blazer. After months of wearing all black, grey and navy I am so excited to wear colours and prints and for me, gingham is a cool place to start.
