Five of my Favourite | Sequin Jackets

I’ll say it again, sequin jackets are for life and not just for Christmas and with this week’s How to Style a Sequin Jacket video I thought I would search and find five of my favourite sparkly pieces from the high-street, online and designer brands; I’ve found some gorgeous pieces! *adds Uterque kimono to basket.

Uterque
Why?

This ribbon-tie kimono style jacket ‘dress’ is so elegant and the two-tone sequin print makes it really special: wear with all black and statement vintage-inspired earrings.

Topshop
Why?
I love tailoring and double-breasted jackets really mean boss: wear with tuxedo style trousers and strap heels.

Iro
Why?
In general, I think blue, black and dark metallic sequins are a classier choice but this shape is fierce and the ruffle detail is pretty too. Wear with all black and sky high black leather ankle boots, as seen here.

Zara
Why?
This is a proper power dressing jacket with padded shoulders and a cinched waist, I love the matching skirt here too! Wear with blue denim and a polo neck for a cool and retro-inspired day-look.

Biba
Why?
I am contradicting what I say above ‘choose dark metallic sequins’ but it is the block design and cropped wide-sleeves that make this a lot more versatile and so flattering too. Wear simply with a black silky vest, cropped denim (to copy the cropped sleeve) and fabulous heels.
