Fashion conscious curves

For this weeks **Style Dilemma** (Friday morning, between 08.30 and 09.20: Lorraine: ITV) our viewer is a  plus size woman who has a summer of christenings where she wants to look and feel confident and gorgeous. However, she says it’s tricky to find fashion conscious clothes on the high street over a size 14.

Cue:  the elegant ‘Swan’ collection by Clements Ribeiro for Evans

CLEMENTS RIBEIRO: THE FACTS

Designers are the husband and wife duo Suzanne Clements and Inacio Ribeiro.

The label launched in 1993 after the couple graduated from London’s prestigious art college/designing powerhouse Central St. Martin’s (other alumni include Stella McCartney, Alexander McQueen, John Galliano, Matthew Williamson, the list goes on…)

Signature style: feminine and simple shapes in exuberant colours and print.

Ribeiro on the collection, ‘for our first range we addressed the different body shapes, with styles which are accessible but modern, with an emphasis on prints and femininity.’

Cutesy heart print 'Betty' dress

Two of my favourite designs from the collection

Sheer floral print 'Nancy' maxi dress

What Evans and the duo have been savvy with is to make sure their collection has a real feel for mainline Clements Ribeiro, bringing high end designs to the high street and the plus size woman, who so often feels that the fashion world neglects her.

The collection is super feminine, I love the fresh colours (especially the green and blue mix on the maxi) elegant shapes and retro feel. Our viewer loves the collection, so do I.
