I was invited to pop into their Kings Road store for a glass of champagne, Primrose Bakery cupcake (which had cheeky boobs and suspenders on them) and a specialist bra fitting, in celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. (Note: with every Rigby & Peller pink bra bought, 20% goes straight to Breast Cancer Care.)
After browsing the beautiful lace lingerie I was taken to their boudoir fitting rooms with Polly, the lingerie specialist who really knows her 30 cups from her 32’s.
What happened next is exclusive to Rigby & Peller; Polly measured me in my bra just by looking at me. Most impressive was she was absolutely right. Whilst Polly and I talked bras, narrow backs, suspenders and wasp waists I tried on every bra on site, (quite literally) from lingerie labels like Aubade, Marie Jo and Rigby & Peller’s own label.
It was such a luxurious treat and a fantastic experience; it really did put my previous fittings to shame. As much as I appreciate beautiful underwear, I have never really felt it is an area of my wardrobe that I want to invest in; this has now changed. I have never felt so sexy and supported in a bra before, I can’t recommend a fitting here enough.
Girls, it is so important to get measured frequently. I don’t know about you, but my bust frequently fluctuates throughout the month, we have to look after our boobs.
