Azzi Glasser, The Perfumers Story and After Hours

Azzi Glasser, The Perfumers Story and After Hours

I have to be honest even though I’m ashamed to admit it, before I met Azzi Glasser this week I didn’t know her brand or story – The Perfumers Story. Azzi is a perfumer and the nose behind the most exquisite and unique fragrances, with her exclusive perfume After Hours launching in Harrods imminently. It’s […]

The Return of the Cardi’

The Return of the Cardi’

When I remember my Granny’s style I think of pleated tartan skirts, fine brooches and cardigans; she loved cardigans and I’ve inherited some of her signature pieces. I can’t romanticise why she loved them because I’m pretty sure it was because she liked to keep her hankies in the pockets – but she had a […]

Three friends, two babies and Dinny Hall’s ‘Pinkys’

Three friends, two babies and Dinny Hall’s ‘Pinkys’

What could be a sweeter way to spend a sunny afternoon (remember, before the torrential rain?) than sitting in Portobello Road’s Farm Girl eating chocolate cake with cashew lattes (yes, they’re a thing) with two of your closest friends? I met with Alice & Harriet for a catch-up and photoshoot with our friends at Dinny […]

Friends like Hill & Friends

I’ve been looking for a leather tote since I ruined a beautiful leather bag (actually, to be honest it was my sister’s beautiful leather bag) – because I kept shoe-horning my laptop into it, toting it around over-stuffed and over-stretched. The spec was that it had to be soft and supple leather in uniform black […]

The Brilliant British Style Collective

The Brilliant British Style Collective

How did that happen? How has the British Style Collective wrapped for another year? It was a huge year for everyone involved; for all of us who’d lived and worked for that same December weekend every year and have now left the NEC and moved onto pastures new; Liverpool. Firstly, we couldn’t have been welcomed […]

A Bit of Boudoir Meets Eastern Styling

A Bit of Boudoir Meets Eastern Styling

What is it about the kimono that makes it so trans-seasonably stylish? The sexy slinkiness of the fabric? The way it slips and moves across your shoulders and back? Its negligee appeal? I adore kimono styles for their easy femininity and the lazy-ease that they work with everything. Oft in light and pretty colours, I love this […]

Admit One Ep. 16 with Editor of Glamour Magazine Jo Elvin

Admit One Ep. 16 with Editor of Glamour Magazine Jo Elvin

I mean, just look at this photo of Glamour Magazine’s Jo Elvin & I – look how delighted I am!

As I write this I’m both so excited to be sharing this week’s podcast with you and also shocked and sad at how quickly time has flown and that this is the sixteenth and final episode in this first series; where did the time go?

Both leaving on a high and going out with a bang, yes both, this is the last episode of this series. At the helm of Glamour Magazine as editor since it launched an unbelievable 16 years ago (I remember buying the Kate Winslet cover in 2001!) Jo Elvin is one of the most influential women in the fashion industry and in my opinion one of the most inspiring. Both fiercely smart and funny it’s a real coup to have her on Admit One because she is someone I truly admire and my god does she spin a good yarn.

Fresh from hosting an exclusive screening of Amy Schumer & Goldie Hawn’s new film ‘Snatched’ I catch up with Jo and chat about the power of celebrities, what happened when Susan Sarandon stole her glasses and of course we talk about her three favourite films for their style icons. Enjoy this last episode and don’t forget to leave me a review on iTunes – I love and appreciate all of your support, comments and feedback.

Whilst I take a break from ‘Admit One with Antoni O’Brien’ you can catch up with my guests from the first series including brilliant film critic Jame King, broadcaster Clare Balding and DJ Sara Cox here.
