I’ve loved fashion for as long as I can remember: since I cut my own pedal-pushers, since I bought my first bikini, since I began building my jewellery collection. I love the stories that clothes tell – and story – in any form, is my other great love.
I started my career over a decade ago after landing something of a dream job as an online stylist and TV presenter at the now obsolete my-wardrobe.com. After moving on to work independently as a stylist and TV presenter, I’ve continued to work in both fashion and broadcasting simultaneously: makeovers with Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on ITV’s This Morning, live-commentary from the BAFTA red-carpet for E! Entertainment alongside Fearne Cotton and Dermot O’Leary and presenting trends at live events including The Clothes Show and Stylist Live.
I’ve been really fortunate to work with brilliant brands including French Connection, Superga, LeSpecs, Sweaty Betty and John Frieda – from styling their collections for collaborations to hosting events.
I am also a huge cinema fan – I can’t think of anywhere better than the darkness of the theatre as the story unfolds. With this in mind I launched a film podcast Admit One with Antonia O’Brien, where I speak to guests from across the arts about their three favourite films.
What makes this such a great project is that while guests were talking film, listeners got to find out so much about their lives. You can listen to me talking to Clare Balding, Sara Cox and film critic James King on Admit One with Antonia O’Brien here.
I also have a blog and a YouTube channel where you can get a better flavour of the kind of work I do.
If you’re open to it you can find style and story everywhere: friends, designer catwalks, London street-style, Instagram, art and films.
I hope to inspire the fashion-loving community just as much as it inspires me.
